We will instruct you on how to send your drive to us.
We will let you know when we receive it. We will then perform diagnostics; this takes 1-2 business days. If your solid state drive qualifies for the $60 service, we will proceed with the repair. If your drive has more severe issues, we will contact you with other options, or you can elect to have it returned to you with no cost for the diagnostics.
For $60, we will remove malware, and complete some basic interface repairs and firmware fixes or password removals on certain types of controllers (Indilinx, Intel, JMF616/Toshiba, Marwell, Samsung, or Seagate controllers) to restore data access. This service does not include firmware fixes of controllers not mentioned here or issues such as firmware corruption or an outright controller failure on any type of controller, which will require removal of the memory chip(s). If any of these other problems are present, we will offer to fix them if possible, but the cost will be higher.
What if my drive is not eligible for the $60 repair?
If your solid state drive has further damage, needs firmware repair not mentioned in the previous answer, or requires removal of the memory chip(s), that is a more advanced repair. In this case, we will contact you to let you know how much those services would cost. You may then either accept or have your flash drive sent back to you. You will not be responsible for the $60 fee.
