How do I start a service?

You can start the data recovery process when you Submit a Service and ship your device to us. For our clients in the United States, we offer a free inbound shipping label. Once we receive your device, we run an evaluation to make sure your data is recoverable before we send you a quote. As long as your drive is not missing its warranty seal and/or has not been opened, our expert evaluation prior to quote is 100% free.

What does Outsource do?

What hard drives can you recover data from?

Do you offer any discounts?

We are proud to offer a 10% discount on data recovery services to active and former military personnel, educational institutions, government employees, full-time students, and senior citizens (aged 65 and up). We will verify your eligibility with an ID.

If you do not qualify for this discount, you may be interested in our Partner program where you earn discounts by completing projects.

What if I don’t know what kind of failure my hard drive has?

That’s why we offer no-charge evaluation. Simply submit a project and send your device in. We will send you a detailed quote describing the issues with your drive, and at that point you’re free to request your drive be sent back to you, with no charge for the evaluation.

Can I get a second opinion about the nature of my hard drive failure?

We pride ourselves on our honest and transparent service. Should you have any doubts in the nature of your hard drive’s failure, we’ll gladly request a second opinion from another qualified professional data recovery technician of your choice.

I’ve found a lower price elsewhere to recover my data. Will you match their price?

We can assure you, we are the most affordable professional data recovery company on the market. If this does not seem to be the case, we should be able to negotiate on an individual basis.

How can I become a Partner?

When you submit a new project, there will be an option to register for a Partners account.

What are the guarantees?

Data recovery can be unpredictable, but our experience, knowledge and equipment guarantees that we will bring our utmost attention and expertise to recover your data.

What if you can’t recover my data?

In the unlikely case that we are unable to assist you with the recovery of your data or finish the service, we will return the original media to you. You will only need to pay for the shipping.

I submitted a recovery project; can I expedite it?

Yes, of course. Simply contact the agent handling your project or call our direct line for assistance. All of our service levels and options can be viewed on our Pricing page.

Am I still responsible for the expedited fee if my project not completed on time?

Yes, as we will make all reasonable efforts to recover data within the specified time frame.

My recovery project is overdue. What can be done?

We apologize for any delays that may occur during the recovery process. Unfortunately, some failures are so severe that it is simply impossible to have data recovered within the average two-week estimate. All projects are processed on a first come first serve schedule. If data is required within a specified time frame we recommend considering an expedited option.

I received my recovered data, but some files are missing.

Please contact us for assistance, and we will go over the missing files and confirm if any were present at the point of hard drive failure.

I want to cancel my recovery project. What’s the process?

You are free to contact us to cancel your recovery service at any point before your recovered data is delivered to you. If you have already approved the quote, there will be a cancellation fee due to compensate our technicians for the work they have already begun. Contact your service representative if you wish to cancel your project.

I can’t afford the service. Do you offer financing options?

We offer no-interest financing on any data recovery project. No credit check required. Ask your representative for more details.

I was referred to you by Donor Drives. Are you familiar with them?

Donor Drives LLC is one of our oldest affiliate partners and a supplier of parts for the data recovery industry.

Will my warranty be voided by this service?

Outsource Data Recovery will not void media warranty by performing any service on your media device.
