Once removed from enclosure it is best to avoid any contact with the PCB (Printed
Circuit Board) located on the bottom of the drive, as it is best to only hold the
drive on the assembly (casing) sides.
If you do not have an anti-static bag, simply wrap the hard drive into aluminum foil
then wrap inside a breathable zip-lock bag to protect drive from electro static
discharges.
Pack the drive with plenty of bubble wrap around all sides enough to ensure about 1 -
2 inches of insulation padding for it to fit snugly inside the box and cannot be
moved while in transit.
To protect and avoid further damage during shipment it is best to assure the drive is
snugly secured from shifting and immovable inside the box. Also print, sign and
include a copy of your project summary provided in your project confirmation email
and at the top of this page.
Seal and write your Outsource project ID number on 1 - 2 sides of the box in bold
print for quick identification and faster processing.
